New York society's charity circuit is alive and well!

This past Wednesday, over 450 notable philanthropists and scene staples - from Josh Lauder to Gillian Hearst - sported their formal finest to fête the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation's fifth annual Memories Matter Event.

A stylish evening in support of the ADDF's amazing mission of conquering Alzheimer’s disease, the soirée featured two show-stopper performances. First, celebrated Christie's Auction House's Lead Benefit Auctioneer Lydia Fenet took the stage to lead a wildly successful live auction, selling off Napa Valley Wine Packages and a Deer Valley St. Regis Getaway to the more than generous crowd.

Later, Grammy award-winning artist Sara Bareilles treated the room to a private concert, performing two of her most beloved songs, King of Anything and Brave.

In all, the hope-filled night raised over $1,100,000 for the ADDF's critical research efforts.

“When we started Memories Matter five years ago," shared event co-founder Wendy Wilshin, "a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease seemed so far away, but today, we reflect on how far we’ve come in this short time, shifting our focus to hope and optimism."

"Today, the research has never been more promising, and thanks to the ADDF and its cutting-edge investigators, we are moving us closer to a cure every day. We’ve seen promising results from repurposed drugs, new technologies, clinical trials, FDA approvals and more. The ADDF has been at the forefront of those changes by helping to rapidly advance progress in Alzheimer’s drug development, diagnostics, and prevention. With all this news, we truly find ourselves hopeful about the future."
