As Theodore Roosevelt once remarked, “Of all the questions which can come before this nation... there is none which compares in importance with the great central task of leaving this land even a better land for our descendants than it is for us.”
This past Tuesday afternoon, a class of extraordinary women gathered at Bryant Park Grill for Audubon's annual Women In Conservation Luncheon.
This year, the prestigious (Tiffany & Co. designed!) Rachel Carson Award, which recognizes visionary environmental leaders who not only strive to change our world for the better but to inspire the next generation of conservation activists, was presented to Abigail Dillen, the accomplished President of Earthjustice.
Following welcoming remarks by the event's Master of Ceremonies Anne Thompson and Founding Chair Allison Whipple Rockefeller, Dillen was joined on stage by Audubon CEO Dr. Elizabeth Gray for a wonderfully interesting moderated conversation.
