When society's most glittering names and faces head north of Manhattan for a night, you know it's an occasion worth noting. On Thursday, the likes of Georgina Bloomberg, Lili Buffett, Martha Stewart, and Tabitha Simmons mingled among the plush greenery of the New York Botanical Garden at the institution's iconic Conservatory Ball. Thanks to the highly anticipated new exhibition celebrating "the living art of Roberto Burle Marx," the Bronx felt more like Brazil, with winding mosaic paths, colorful South American plants, and towering palm trees.

Presented in partnership with Northern Trust, and sponsored by CALIX (who showed off some especially breathtaking jewelry on both guests and in special showcases), the glamorous event saw dining and dancing to benefit the Children’s Education and Plant Research and Conservation Programs, as well as honor Maureen K. Chilton, Chairman Emerita, who has faithfully served as chairman of the board for nine years.

For many attendees, pink was the new black tie, resulting in a vibrant best-dressed list that couldn't have looked better through rose-colored glasses. Click through for some of our favorite looks!
