On Wednesday, The Boys’ Club of New York in partnership with iconic fashion house, Dior, took over le palais de Upper East Side, otherwise known as The Pierre Hotel, bringing together New York City’s most charitable yet fashionable guests. The hotel served as a perfect, elegant backdrop for a cocktail hour, seated dinner, and dancing, which took place in its famed ballroom. Tabletops featured scattered candles and topiaries, some in the shape of a handbag (a la Dior). Although it wasn’t the “real deal”, guests had a chance to win one of these botanical accessories by Instagramming (really, what we do best) and using the hashtag #BCNYDesigns.
This year’s Co-Chairs included Sara Ayres, Amy Griffin, Alexandra Robertson, Lauren Santo Domingo, and Shirin von Wulffen. Other VIP guests included President of Christian Dior North America Renaud de Lesquen, Dennis Basso, Gucci Westman, Chiara and Massimo Ferragamo, Pamela Hanson, Sarah and Izak Senbahar, among many others. Alexandra Richards was also in attendance, and got the party started behind the DJ booth.
Fashion and pomp aside, the BCNY invited one of their alums, Sebastian de la Cruz, up to the podium to share his experience. Sebastian is expected to graduate from Cornell this semester all thanks to BCNY – an achievement that wouldn’t have otherwise been in his reach without the program. Last night’s event raised over $1.16 million for BCNY’s comprehensive youth programming and services, proving New York City’s fervent and continuous support for this great program.
