Last night, the Ace Hotel hosted an opening party for a new installation by artists Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe in collaboration with the new Paul Thomas Anderson film, Inherent Vice. The party was held at Liberty Hall, where the duo's alternative-reality, found-object pieces were on display. The event was the perfect opportunity for guests to shake off the holiday lull and enjoy a fun night, and despite the cold and quiet week in NYC, the room became packed early on. Guests, including actress Rose McGowan, model Daria Werbowy, and artist Will Cotton, made their way to check out Justin and Jonah's installation, but the live performance by rock band Psychic Ills also drew a huge crowd. Everyone hurriedly grabbed another beer and clustered in the front of the room as the trio grabbed their instruments and kicked off their slow, psychedelic jams. The exhibit will be open until January 11th at Liberty Hall.
Who was there: Guests included Justin Lowe, Jonah Freeman, Rose McGowan, Daria Werbowy, Arden Wohl, Mia Moretti, Will Cotton, Cass Bird, Rameet Chawla, Nessia Pope, Matt Starr, Liberty Leben, Cleo Wade, and Stacey Battat.
