Last night, T Magazine, the New York Times’ style publication, celebrated its 10 Year anniversary with a chic cocktail party at Christie’s. A giant, spinning mirrored T logo, greeted guests in the entryway. Iconic T Magazine images were blown up to scale massive T-shaped art installations. Quotes from the magazine’s archives were also projected onto the walls. Former NYT style critic Cathy Horyn chatted with Thakoon Panichgul and Jessica Joffe near the bar, while Thom Browne, Maria Cornejo and Mark Borthwick caught up near the DJ booth.
T Magazine brought out all of the cool kids; with European DJ duo Discosmack manning the decks in Meadham Kirchhoff looks. Following the Vogue Italia party, Johan Lindeberg came by Christie’s to toast to 10 years of T Magazine, as did Calvin Klein Creative Director Francisco Costa. T Editor-in-Chief Deborah Needleman posed with Dita Blair in front of Blair’s expansive photograph. Before the CFDA/Fashion Fund cocktail, Diane von Furstenberg turned up to support the style and art bible. T Magazine also played host to a bevy of A-list designers including Jason Wu, Phillip Lim, Derek Lam, Bouchra Jarrar, Brian Atwood, and Rosie Assoulin. Wu brought along model Lexi Boling who was dressed to a T in a velvet Jason Wu slip dress. Multimedia presentations displayed landmark T Magazine covers and photographs, mirroring the appearance of a decidedly chic art gallery. Partygoers were also treated to T-shaped sandwiches and passed cocktails.
