Elton John's New Broadway Show "Next Fall" Premieres, Throws Party

Geoffrey Nauffts' new American play, "Next Fall," paints a beautiful and funny portrait of modern romance, asking the hard questions about commitment, love and faith.

Preview performances of the play began on February, 16, 2010 and concluded last night with its final preview at the Helen Hayes Theater.

The cast of the show celebrated the onset of their play at last night's after party with producer, Elton John.

The play, premiering today at the Helen Hayes Theater, has gained attention through the high profile standing of producer Elton John, and his life and business partner, David Furnish.

In a recent interview, Elton spoke of the impact his profile has on the play, "Next Fall:"

There are no stars in the cast of ‘Next Fall,’ so I’m doing what I can to raise its profile with my profile.

Jeffrey Seller, the producer of musical, "Avenue Q," commented on Elton's role:

If Elton John and David Furnish can make the difference between a great new play like ‘Next Fall’ recouping its investment or not recouping, or can attract 1,000 more people than would otherwise go, it’s worthwhile.
