On Sunday, September 19th, Palm Heights Founder and Creative Director, Gabriella Khalil, hosted a Habibi Night celebration in Brooklyn to raise funds for the Lebanese Food Bank. The evening featured a silent auction as well as performances by Sudanese artist, Alsarah, of Alsarah and The Nubatones as well as Lebanese performer, Anya Kneez, celebrated as the pioneer of drag culture in Lebanon.
The Grand Cayman-based hotel has worked with the Lebanese Food Bank since 2019. Amidst the pandemic, a visit from Khalil’s mother-in-law, a maestro of Egyptian and Lebanese cuisine, inspired the creation of Habibi Night, an evening in celebration of Lebanese food and culture, that has now become a staple gathering at the hotel.
Guests included Banna Nega, Chloe Wise, Louis Levy, Kennedy Yanko, Gillian Zinser, Jean Prounis, Noor Elkhaldi, Brianna Lance, Gerardo Gonzalez, Brooke Wise, Camille Becerra, and Susan Alexandra.
