Last night, the Humane Society of the United States held their "To the Rescue! From Cruelty to Kindness Gala" at Cipriani 42nd Street.  The event, hosted by Will Estes, star of Blue Bloods, was co-chaired by the Friends of Finn committee headed by Amanda Hearst, Georgina Bloomberg and Annie Churchill.

Jill Rappaport of NBC's Today Show and New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker were both honored for their efforts in animal rights with awards presented by HSUS CEO Wayne Pacelle.

Attendees included Matt Lauer, editor of Animal Fair magazine Wendy Diamond, entrepreneur Lorenzo Borghese, model Jessica Perez, Carmen Tal of Moroccan Oil, Joan Lunden, and artist Peter Max, to name a few.  Guests enjoyed a three-course vegan meal by celebrity chef Tal Ronnen, and a performance by singer/songwriter Tai Burnette.
