Chefanie Nass was never going to have a basic, few ballooned birthday party. But her pizza party blowout last week? 'Twas an inspiration! A professional hostess, Chefanie surprised guests with a full on lesson in branding, taking over a tiny pizzeria on 14th street's east side and giving it a temporary old school makeover. We're talking a new sign on the building, decals on the windows, red and white checkered tablecloths. Oh, and a pyramid of custom Chefanie stamped t-shirts. And that's just the decor!
There were the musicians - a true Sicilian accordion player paired up with a Sinatra-esque crooner who were imported just for the evening from Boston. Apparently, it's very hard to find Sicilian accordion players in New York. There was pizza and pasta. There was an on-theme checkered Chefanie Sheet cake. And of course, because a pizza party can never have too much food, there were passed Italian rainbow cookies and other delectable treats. A collection of friends of every feather joined to make the evening complete - an athlete, artists, socialites, lifelong pals and more.
