Last Wednesday, we teamed up with Boursin Cheese to take over the Jane Rooftop for an evening designed to entertaining perfection. Between lounging on the terrace, and taking in sunset river views, a private selection of notable guests mulled about, enjoying mini lessons from our expert partners in how to wow at their next soiree - no matter how last minute or impromptu.
Eyeswoon's Athena Calderone provided her quick, culinary tips for whipping up trays of hors d'oeuvres so delicious they'll have your guests ruining their dinners. Smoked salmon toast over Boursin Shallot & Chive with pickled red onion and fresh herbs. Blueberry crostini topped with Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs, thyme, honey and lemon. Grilled zucchini flatbread with Boursin Basil & Chive pesto. All this, and cheese boards as far as the eye could see - it would have been a miracle for anyone to go home hungry.
Cocktail connoisseurs Muddling Memories’ Cody Goldstein took over the bar, revealing their industry tricks to stirring up extraordinary drinks. There was the "French Bubbles," mixed up with gin, lemon, chamomile, Boursin Jalapeno Foam, and pink peppercorns, and our personal favorite, the "Say Cheese!" which is a savory sip of vodka, gin, lillet, dill, chili oil, and Boursin stuffed olives.
DJ Jilly Hendrix kept the vibes cool with her perfect springtime tunes, curating playlists for guests and their next get togethers. A lowkey girls night in? Cardi B's "I like It" and Drake's "Nice For What" top the list of must-plays. Your first grown-up dinner party? It's got to be Frank Ocean's "Pink & White" and Khalid's "Love Lies."
And lastly, elevating the decor in a most magical, unexpected fashion, was Aurora Botanica’s Rawan Rihani, who dressed up the rooftop space in seasonal floral garland strands. Fishing line, a needle, and flowers are all you need to do the same!
