Last night, Matt Levine brought back his LES Beat party in a major way. Partygoers walked down an unassuming Wall Street, showing little indication of what was to come in the underground space across from the New York Stock Exchange. It was clear that despite the neighborhood, the event vibe was far more Bushwick-warehouse than a Gilded-Age FiDi event space. Black-lit painting, a bouncy castle, an all-night open bar, and performances by throwback hip-hop stars Mystikal, Petey Pablo, as well as underground regular Scrap, made for one of the most unique parties of the year.
