You may be familiar with The Beatrice Inn (you know, the super exclusive, neo-speakeasy tucked away in the West Village). Well, former gatekeepers Angelo Bianchi and Julio Montero teamed up with real estate mogul, Aby Rosen, to create Soho’s new bar and lounge, The Blond, and kicked off opening weekend with three nights of back-to-back previews. Because how else does one show off their new digs?
Perched inside the highly anticipated new hotel, 11 Howard, the space is dimly lit with smoky, mercury glass walls, and lined with conglomerates of mini art galleries. Attendees have already populated #TheBlond hashtag, claiming the large neon work by Dan Attoe, “Complicated Animals,” as a crowd favorite “Instagrammable” moment along with the drink coasters that bear the faces of Brigitte Bardot, James Dean, and Marilyn Monroe. Throughout the weekend, knots of well-dressed celebrities and industry friends took over what is destined to be Soho’s new hot spot. Hailey Baldwin, Martha Hunt, Phillip Lim, Georgia Fowler, Sean Avery, Brian Atwood, and RJ King are just a few of those who came out to play. Click through to see more photos from the weekend!
