It's not every day that we get to turn our emotions into art. Last week, we did just that at the VIP opening of The Museum of Feelings curated by Glade®. Joining a slew of bloggers, editors, It-Girls, and DJs - including WeWoreWhat's Danielle Bernstein, The Stripe's Grace Atwood, My Style Pill's Christine Cameron, editor Samantha Yanks, and DJ Jilly Hendrix - we entered the glowing installation at Brookfield Place with all our senses at the ready.
An unforgettable journey of scent, sight, and sound followed. Exploring a series of immersive and interactive exhibition rooms, we were led through a room filled with prismatic light beams, an LED rain room of green followed by a 3-D motion-sensor halo room, a first-of-its-kind walk-in kaleidoscope room, and a pink cloud as soothing as a dream. And of course, everything was #selfie-worthy.
Between stops at the scent station and sips of flavorful DIY champagne cocktails, guests took their turns at the digital photo booths, where selfies were filtered according to their mood thanks to scientific 'MoodLens' technology. Those that aren’t able to make it out the Museum can still create their own ‘Moodlens’ by visiting The Museum of Feelings website at TheMuseumofFeelings.com and can choose to set their self-portrait as their profile picture! But selfies weren't the only futuristic aspect of the night. The Museum of Feelings ambassadors were outfitted in the structured styles of fashion-forward brand, Chromat, and even designer Becca McCharen was on hand to bring next-level looks to the scene.
The night culminated with a live performance by singer Becky G, who wowed the crowd and managed to steal the spotlight in such an exciting space.
The Museum of Feelings, curated by Glade® is open to the public for a limited time this season through December 15th at NYC's Brookfield Place. Monday – Saturday (11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.), Sunday (11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
