With art world royalty and the international glitterati in town for the 2022 comeback of the Venice Biennale, last Thursday's fundraiser for Ukraine was, as expected, quite the glittering affair.
Hosts Ivy Getty and Peter Brant Jr. were joined by fellow famously named friends including Gaia Matisse and Kyra Kennedy at Venice's opulent Scuola Grande di San Rocco for the event, where Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky also made a special appearance via live stream to address and thank attendees for their contributions.
The headlining gala, produced in partnership with Sortium Blockchain Studio, featured an NFT silent auction along with a live auction led by renowned auctioneer Simon de Pury. Altogether, the evening raised over $1 million for various charities and humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
