Last night, Hugo Boss hosted their biannual Hugo Boss Prize celebration at the Guggenheim museum. The evening toasted the best of the contemporary art world. Among this year’s five nominees were Paul Chan, Sheela Gowda, Camille Henrot, Hassan Khan, and Charline von Heyl. The Hugo Boss Prize is “firmly established as one of the art world’s most resonant accolades, honoring contemporary practices of enduring power and influence,” explained Guggenheim Director Richard Armstrong. The prize consists of a monetary prize, clocking in at $100,000; this year’s winner, Hong Kong-born, Brooklyn-based Paul Chan, will also have a solo show at the museum come Spring. We got an inside look at this year's event, complete with a beautiful crowd of guests dressed in their favorite Hugo Boss ensembles. Be sure to check out our slideshow!
