As most fashion insiders know, Mario Sorrenti comes from a family of photographers touched with creative genius. Now Gray, his not-yet-20-year-old daughter, has also found a place behind the lens, inevitably inheriting the Sorrentis' legendary eye for great images.
Last night, the father-daughter duo celebrated their first-ever collaboration - a series of salt-air-saturated photographs in partnership with yet another iconic name: La Mer. Together, they created "Edge of the Sea," a reinterpretation of the skincare brand's famous Créme de la Mer jar using their respective perspectives of a day by the water.
Well-heeled attendees, including Sienna Miller, Dianna Agron, June Ambrose, Winnie Harlow, and Sara and Erin Foster, dove straight into the world of Sorrenti, exploring immersive rooms projected with images and videos produced by the pair.
Guests were treated to light bights, cocktails, and even an outdoor hot dog truck, but there was one particular hors d'oeuvre tray everyone was quick to chase down: the one stacked high with mini jars of La Mer. Yum.
The evening also turned out to be a true family affair. Mario's musician son, Arsun Sorrenti, took to the stage with his band to wow the crowd before handing the musical reins over to none other than Mark Ronson, who closed out the party with an epic DJ set.
