Last night, while some New Yorkers were pretending to understand the art at the Whitney Museum's annual studio party, the rest of us were toasting Mr. Piccioli of Valentino at their resort show after-party a mere stone’s throw away at the Top of the Standard. The scene was set with guests donned in some of their most glamorous outfits to celebrate the iconic fashion house.

The show was held in a spacious loft in NoHo and was inspired by “Hip-Hop as a melting pot,” a theme that carried well into their after-party given their surprise guest, Mary J. Blige. The party brought out some of New York’s most notable, including Terry Richardson, Carlos Mota, Michael Avedon, Olivia Palermo, Nicky Hilton Rotschild, Alex Pall and Drew Taggart of the Chainsmokers, and even Mr. Valentino Garavani himself. Guests mingled and drank the night away to the sounds of one of fashion’s favorite DJs, Harley Viera-Newton, who was of course clad in Valentino. Talk about a casual Tuesday night!
