When Igee Okafor, the founder and Editor-in-Chief of luxe men's platform BOND OFFICIAL, and Desta, the new Director of Cultural Engagement at Neuehouse + Fotografiska (previous director of special projects at The Standard), host a dinner, one should only expect a glamorous cast of fashionistos, creatives, and cool-kids-about-town at the table.
Needless to say, their intimate fête at NeueHouse this week didn't disappoint.
The stylish affair felt like a spiritual prelude to upcoming New York Fashion Week, as guests chatted about travels and shows, busy schedules and the inconvenience of the current restrictions placed on Europe. A marker of a successful dinner party, there was indeed no shortage of conversation, or, for that matter, plate after plate of delicious food. After all, the food was why we were all there in the first place.
NeueHouse, the chic members-only workspace and cultural hub, was giving us all a first taste of its new dinner menu at the recently revamped Gallery Bar, full of plush banquette seating and marble two-tops. Between sips of sparkling rosé, guests, including style star Krystal Bick, artist Cacho Falcón, and stylist/editor/visual artist Alexander-Julian Gibbson, sampled upscale eats ranging from Iberico de Bellota and Salt Baked Baby Beets to Salt & Pepper Calamari, and the crowd favorite, Black Bass and Swordfish Risotto.
