Spooky season isn't over until the, well, skeleton lady sings - and we've got the party pics to prove it.
On Tuesday, New York's buzzy new watering holes, Bar Calico and Georgia Room, made their debut at the Freehand Hotel with a mezcal-fueled bash inspired by Mexico's Dia de los Muertos.
In keeping with their annual tradition of blowout Day of the Dead parties, owners and beloved nightlife duo Carlos Quirarte and Matt Kliegman, along with partner Matthew Charles, teamed up with Agua Mágica Mezcal to welcome the city's revived social set for an after-hours celebration of the after-life.
Dressed in festive headpieces and custom face paint courtesy of the team of makeup artists on site, guests including Hannah Bronfman, Timo Weiland, Michelle Madonna, Arianna Margulis, and Gossip Girl star Eli Brown, made their way through the venues, taking in a scene which included a grand candlelit altar, marigold-covered bar, dressing room vanity, and Tacombi pop-up.
Between the shots of mezcal being passed around and the Agua Mágica cocktails including mezcal-based margaritas, highballs, and negronis, it didn't take long for the crowd to liven up under the sequin-style disco ball and neon crosses of the club-y Georgia Room, where the night culminated with a short film by Mexican Director Fernando Guisa and an electrifying live performance by Mexico City based group Sotomayor.
