Project Paz Presents Project Art

    Last night at 82 Mercer Street, Project Paz and L-Attitude in conjunction with Banamex, presented Project Art, a silent auction to promote peace in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico. The pieces were curated by Amanda Alvarez and Anne Huntington.

    Thirty four artists from both the United States and Mexico donated original works of art inspired by Cuidad Juarez, and featured exclusive designs from Yigal Azrouel, Michael Bastian, Sara Beltran, Eddie Borgo, Christian Cota, Wes Gordon, Alejandro Ingelmo, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Anndra Neen, Juan Carlos Obando, Thakoon, Rag & Bone, and Peter Som, using fabrics supplied by Museo Textil de Oaxaca. The event was hosted by Eddie Borgo, Valerie Boster, Peter Davis, Eugenia Gonzales, Fernando Romero, and Arlenis Sosa.

    Guests enjoyed "Pepino Fizz" and "Tequila Juleps" and tunes spun by DJ David Lipke. All proceeds from the night went to El Paso Community Foundation, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, which is also the fiscal agent for Project Paz.

    Project Paz is a nonprofit organization created by a group of young professionals living in New York City who want to promote peace in Ciudad Juárez, México. All the funds we raise support projects geared towards spreading hope to future generations and current victims of the violence, one project at a time.
