If you're anyone who's anyone in New York, there was nowhere else to be last night but the opening of Ian Schrager's latest hot spot hotel, Public. From the 350-person VIP dinner party to the intimate performance by New York icon, Patti Smith, it was a building-wide bash to remember, and certainly the right way to unveil a concept that declares "Luxury for all!"
Models, DJs, artists, and influencers toasted to the downtown hub, which features not one, but two restaurants by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, a landscaped garden, a rooftop lounge, and a multimedia performance space overseen by hospitality and nightlife vets, Matt Kliegman and Carlos Quirarte. Not to mention the selfie-lovin' escalator situation - an important feature of any NYC venue that wants to put itself on the map.
Guests included Courtney Love, Vashtie Kola, Mia Moretti, and our favorite newlyweds (back from their honeymoon!), Brendan Fallis and Hannah Bronfman. Click through for an inside look!
