New York City's most fashionable philanthropists donned their gilded best and wildest masked looks last week at the Byzantine Ball, the 2023 edition of Un Ballo in Maschera, the annual gala benefitting the Save Venice foundation.
Buzzing with stars and socialites, including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ivy Getty, and Tina Leung, the storied Plaza Hotel was transformed into an opulent Byzantine wonderland by Bronson van Wyck and co., drawing inspiration from the 12th-century design of the Basilica of Santa Maria e San Donato, which sees conservation efforts from Save Venice.
The glamorous evening, sponsored by BVLGARI and Oscar de la Renta, raised over $1.2 million to preserve the artistic heritage of Venice. Impressive funds for a fete filled with even more impressive ensembles.
