You know what they say - April showers bring ball gowns and flowers. Well, that was at least the case at the Mandarin Oriental last night, where socialites, fashionistas, and philanthropists partied for a cause high above Columbus Circle. Selita Ebanks, Crystal Renn, and Leandra Medine all joined New Yorkers For Children at their annual spring dinner dance, A Fool's Fete. This year's theme? Enchanted Garden. And talk about earthly delights! The glam evening, presented by Chloe, saw guests dressed in their floral best, dining, dancing, and benefitting youth in foster care. Instagram's "Andy Warhol," Donald Robertson, was on hand creating live portraits of attendees such as Wes Gordon, Christine Beauchamp, and Erika and Jonathan Bearman, who each made hefty donations for the privilege.
While revelry was certainly on the agenda (DJ D-Nice was behind the turntables), partygoers did not forget the cause that they were there to support, with two young women who have benefited from the org taking to the mic to share their powerful voices. All in all, the night raised $500,000; certainly a reason to celebrate.
