We'll be honest, we still don't really understand NFTs or "the blockchain" or what the word "fungible" means, but that wasn't going to stop us from hitting the hottest party of NFT Week in New York.
We mean, they had us at "DJ set by A-Trak."
On Monday night, Hudson Yards was buzzing with a stylish crypto crowd there to celebrate Starcatchers, a female led NFT community that uplifts women in the web3 space.
Hosted at Peak, the swanky restaurant, lounge, and event space 101 stories above the city, the bash coincided with the launch of new Starcatchers artwork and the release of its capsule collection with American Eagle.
Starcatchers transformed the space with colorful artwork and funky installations that brought the digital experience to life, complete with live drawings by artist Vinnie Hager, neon photo ops galore, and exclusive access to the Edge, the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere.
Between sips of specialty cocktails and views of the skyline, guests hit the dance floor with tunes provided by It DJs Matt Medved, Angel + Dren, and finally, A-Trak, who took over the decks to wild fanfare after an introduction by Starcatchers founder Maurice Morales, one of the few Hispanic leaders in the NFT landscape.
