Sorry, Drake. If anyone can really say they turned their birthday into a lifestyle, it's most definitely boy-about-town Michael Tommasiello, a.k.a. @nydoorman. By day he's a VP of digital strategy for brands and celebs, and by night he puts his social media prowess to good use as an influencer frequenting all of the coolest parties and red carpet events in the city. So, of course, when it came to hosting his own 31st birthday bash, It Girls and Instagrammable moments were to be expected.
The location? One of downtown's last old school secrets, the Italian eatery turned recent fashion kid hot spot, Forlini's. A very well-heeled group of guests, including Nina Agdal, Jack Brinkley Cook, celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy, and A-list trainer, Shaun T, gathered in the restaurant's private back room for a spaghetti and wine-fueled rager. Customized place cards featured Drake lyrics for each attendee, as did a set of giant balloons for the birthday boy.
Classic Frank Sinatra tunes helped set the scene for all the pasta posing, while a rare bottle of tequila boasting a giant Supreme sticker sat as a centerpiece on the gift table. At the end of the night, Tommasiello blew out the candles on not one, but four birthday cakes, followed by a massive round of Limoncello shots. Needless to say, no one stuck to their New Year's diet.
