Grungy downtown mainstay Don Hill's made a triumphant return in September 2010, led by Nur Khan and Paul Sevigny, and for around 8 months it became the spiritual successor of none other than the Beatrice Inn (Sevigny's cigarette-smoke-filled haunt which closed in 2009, not Angie Mar's steakhouse iteration we know today). Its NYFW opening week was filled with headlining bashes, but the stand-out was Pop Magazine's bash featuring a performance by Iggy Pop. In Iggy's true "fuck you" fashion, he told the stylish crowd, which included Gwen Stefani, Adrien Grenier, Nicky Hilton, and Chloë Sevigny, "your pretty face is going to hell." Cue applause, and one very memorable rock n' roll rager.
