Where can you find a live jazz band, priceless masterpieces, and more fascinators than the royal wedding?
The Frick Collection's annual Spring Garden Party, of course. The al fresco fete, which kicks off the warm season for Fellows and Young Fellows of the museum, went down last week at the iconic Upper East Side mansion, marking the one time a year its sprawling garden is accessible to visitors. Needless to say, it's one of New York's most coveted invites.
An especially well-heeled crowd of philanthropists and fashionistas made the rounds outside, taking in the sunset with bubbly in hand and live music in the air. Inside, attendees were also able to explore the Frick's second floor, another off-limits area open for a rare viewing for the occasion. Color-clad and dripping in florals, revelers gravitated towards the stunning indoor Garden Court when the sun set, stopping by pop-up bars by Sipsmith London Dry Gin for specialty cocktails before wandering into the Music Room for a late-night dance party that closed out the evening.
