Could you think of anything chicer than a Pride party at the Frick?!
On Monday, the Frick Collection invited its Fellows, Young Fellows, and stylish patrons for a midsummer soirée celebrating art, culture, and the LGBTQ+ community. Sponsored by Trustee Tai-Heng Cheng and Cole Harrell, the evening was inspired by the current year-long installation series, Living Histories: Queer Views and Old Masters, which features contemporary works exploring gender and queer identity - topics typically excluded from narratives of early modern European art.
Guests stepped out in vibrant, colorful ensembles fitting for the joyful occasion, complete with statement-making rainbow accessories and quite a few flower crowns.
Between turns around the al fresco garden and champagne toasts to the tunes of a live jazz trio, attendees explored the galleries of the Frick Madison and brushed up on their art history with intimate talks throughout the night.
