When Tulum's infamous hot spot landed in New York last summer, GITANO became a buzzed-about go-to for the city's most stylish. But the warm weather disappeared, and so too did the lush al fresco location. Not that it was the end of GITANO via NYC.

Earlier this year, GRUPO GITANO announced the opening of GITANO Jungle Room, a bi-level bar, lounge, and restaurant inside The James hotel. And at its official opening bash last week, a wild crowd certainly allowed the "jungle room" to live up to its name. The late-night, disco-themed soiree saw some of fashion's finest letting loose after a busy NYFW, rubbing elbows beneath a giant disco ball and indulging in a candlelit Mexican meal and upscale takes on tropical cocktails.

Guests including Hamish Bowles, Dree Hemingway, Waris Ahluwalia, and Christian Siriano joined GITANO founder James Gardner for the glamorous celebration, which featured 1970s tunes.

Throughout the night, an endless stream of beautiful and "hey-isn't-that..." faces made its way throughout the space, from the subterranean bar and restaurant area up to the second-floor lounge and balcony. If this chic crowd is any indication, Jungle Room will surely be heating things up on the scene this spring and beyond.
