Every season, it seems, it becomes more and more acceptable to request the style set's presence in Brooklyn. At last night's highly anticipated Business of Fashion BoF500 dinner, no one seemed to be complaining. Especially not Gigi Hadid, who celebrated her last birthday at the venue - the chic and towering 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge - back in April.
Toasting the innovators and icons of the global fashion community, the annual gala saw models, designers, celebrities, and luminaries from over 30 countries worldwide. Gigi and Bella mingled with Tiffany Haddish, Carine Roitfeld took selfies with Halima Aden, and Derek Blasberg cozied up to Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Karen Elson. Of course, Business of Fashion founder and CEO Imran Amed was there to play the ever-dapper host.
While it was certainly an evening of fun and celebration, this year's bash had an underlying note of some seriousness. "For the 6th annual #BoF500 we focused on the change agents building and shaping a better fashion industry," Amed said. "There’s no doubt it has been a challenging time for the fashion business, a time for reflection. But as we discovered in putting together this issue, there are many positive stories to tell and we are very happy to tell them."
Following a musical performance by Interscope Records artist Amber Mark, many guests continued the festivities upstairs at the Brooklyn Heights Social Club, taking in gorgeous views of the city skyline. See, Brooklyn's not so bad!
