An annual event marked down on even the most coveted social calendars for months in advance, last night's Art Production Fund Gala surely did not disappoint. Deep beneath the bustling streets of midtown, a glittering jungle erupted at subterranean supper club, Diamond Horseshoe. Amid the lush interiors, secret passageways, and, of course, life-size leopard, artists, aficionados, and A-listers came together to toast Jane Kaplowitz Rosenblum and Ryan McGinley, artists who “fight tooth and nail in this concrete jungle.”
Sponsored by Gucci, the event saw many guests decked out in the designer label, including Art Production Fund Co-Founders Doreen Remen, Yvonne Force Villareal, and Executive Director Casey Fremont Crowe. Between a presentation by artist Petra Collins and a live auction featuring the works of Kenny Scharf, Todd Eberle, Nir Hod, and more, partygoers like Chloe Sevigny, Derek Blasberg, and Giovanna Battaglia heard the roar of Lion Babe, who took to the stage for a wild performance, post-dinner.
