How often does your gym play host to a cast of mermaids, club kids, and nightlife legends? That's what we thought. Last night, certified fitness icon David Barton celebrated the opening of his latest venture, TMPL, a high-tech, cutting-edge new gym in Hell's Kitchen. Complete with a booty room, virtual reality spin studio, and massive saltwater pool, the sprawling space has already garnered a membership list of around 2000. And after the soiree presented by party-thrower extraordinaire, Susanne Bartsch, it's not hard to see why. While the two stocked bars won't usually be stationed inside, the atmosphere will likely stay this lively. Kings and Queens alike flocked to the wild unveiling, dressed in their best spiked heels and leather, as one could only expect. Even Hollywood all star Ewan McGregor stopped by, rubbing elbows with punk mainstay Jimmy Webb and designer Nicola Formichetti. Guests might have broken a sweat last night, but it definitely wasn't from lifting weights.
