It's no secret that New Yorkers would attend the opening of an envelope so long as the drinks were free and the music was poppin', but even we've never seen this much fanfare surrounding the debut of a gym.
In case you missed it, the brand new Hudson Yards complex will soon be home to the first-ever Equinox Hotel, a luxury destination fusing wellness, travel, and hospitality. Of course, it also boasts quite the fitness center, which just so happens to be Equinox's 100th club. No wonder it called for an A-list bash.
Spanning two floors and 60,000 square feet, the Hudson Yards outpost is the largest Equinox location yet, set to boast high-performance group fitness classes, a private Pilates studio, one-on-one training, and even access to E by Equinox – the brand’s most elevated and highly personalized club experience.
The party, which featured DJ sets by Angel + Dren, DJ Ruckus, and surprise performances by members of the American Ballet Theater as well as some "Icons" and "Legends" from the Equinox "Life's a Ball" Pride campaign, was held on the 15,000 square foot sundeck - by far the space's crown jewel. With an outdoor leisure pool and an unobstructed view of The Vessel, it served as the perfect place for the fashionable and fit crowd to fete.
