Today is Tumbleweed Tuesday, the day after Labor Day. The expression originated in summer destination spots (such as the townships out east) as the day all of the summer visitors finally leave and they once again get to reclaim their spots. It's the day that marks the beginning of the best month of the year out in the Hamptons: September....the month where the beaches are at their best, and you get to enjoy them without the crowds.
From what I have gathered, most people are ready for summer's undeniable end. I am not one of them. I could live all year in Summer. It is the season where everything is simplified, from wardrobes to weekend plans, things are just easier.
So, while Labor Day marks the official end to Summer for so many people, we still have a couple of weeks left, and I am going to milk it for all it's worth. I haven't had a computer in sight since last Friday, so I, in true tumbleweed style, will be slowing rolling my way back into cyberspace.
