Five Indie Fashion Tips: From Berlin Fashion Week to Coachella

    In the winter doldrums, you may want to enhance your street cred by stealing a few pages from the playbooks of the indie scene. From feline inspired hair to cat-toting haute couture, here's how to stay hip among the independent set.

    Oh, high fashion. The new winter hairstyle according to A.F. Vandevorst (at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin) aims to hide the faces of runway eye candy.

    At least they're up to more practical looks in Park Slope. The Catpack has finally  been documented photographically and is destined to become "a thing," at least among the Brooklyn hipster set and cat fanatics.

    These days hipsters are writing "love stories about two skaters, one of whom is a girl and one of whom is a werewolf" and doing research that turns up awesome Max Hamilton photos of girl boarders. The book sounds pretty good.

    There won't be time to write much of anything during Coachella weekend, of which the set list has been announced and wow, it did not disappoint.
