Macy's Gets a Makeover
Macy's flagship store in Herald Square is getting a $400 million makeover and will get even bigger than its current 11 floors and 2.2 million square feet. Renovations will begin in 2012 and expand over four years. Improvements will include 100,000 additional square feet of selling space, a revamp of every floor and department with technology advancements, larger food service stations, and the world's largest shoe department featuring 300,000 pairs of shoes.
