Whoever thought to put menswear right before womenswear deserves a medal - it should have been done long ago, but we understand the timing. Menswear was never the focus in New York, so there were only a few great designers in our city. Over the past few years the emergence of sportswear has incited people to pay attention to masculine designs, and has forced some designers to take a look in the mirror and pivot a little bit.

New York currently has an excellent selection of menswear designers, something we proudly boast to our LA and European friends. Our favorite shows of Men's Week are mainly from newcomers. Of course Raf took the cake, but we're focusing on the future great designers in our city, such as Barbara Sanchez-Kane and Daisuke Obana, Abdul Abasi and Greg Rosborough. Read ahead for our unyielding testimony.
