For his Spring 2018 collection, bohemian California vibes replaced the typical red carpet looks Shoji is known for. That's not to say you won't see these gowns at movie premiers and award shows, it's just a different vibe. Embroidery, tassels, ruffles and lots of exposed shoulders channel effortless It Girl style, many of whom where seated in the front row.

Without context, we would assume this was a resort collection with the number of embroidered flowers and crochet. Alas, the chiffon dresses near the end captured the elegance we were hoping to see. Our favorite - a pleated black chiffon with floral palettes - was the transition look between the first and second half of the show. Shoji really knows how to capture young Hollywood's hearts.
