"I think I look at different things than a real fashionista. I love nice clothing but have a pretty simple, form follows function wardrobe. I totally admire certain friends whose personal style is high art, namely Christene Barberich. She's a master. When I watch a show I'm looking at it as art first. I like to see the way things are cut, the way they move, the colors, the textures, the little details that make a piece and collection special. I think of fashion as art so I think I'm viewing it through that lens. There are times when I see pieces that I'd love to wear too (of course) but as an illustrator I'm looking at other things."
