"I always aim to create dynamic compositions that convey the feeling of the collection and not solely the garment. I want to capture the colors and textures as the designer created them but also the emotional quality of their art which I think illustration can do in either subtracting background visual noise that photographs capture as well as adding illustrative elements that convey mood, like watercolor washes. I think illustration is an interpretation of the fashion design, mood of the collection and show experience and a photograph is more of a document of a moment."
