Well they didn't go for the renaming the subway idea, but the Borough of Brooklyn has just announced they're going to throw a posthumous birthday party for Michael Jackson this Saturday in Prospect Park. 10,000 die-hard MJ fans are expected to attend. For the record, another event is being held in Prospect Park on Saturday: a ceremony for soliders who fought in the Battle of Brooklyn during the Revolutionary War. Unsurprisingly, the organizers of this second event are not worried that there will be much overlap...
