Sweetgreen x Blue Hill
Is there a way to feel healthy, satiated, and better the environment? The salad gods have answered; sweetgreen, a company that already values community over profit, has partnered up with Blue Hill and their environmental project, wastED™. Now available until September 28th, sweetgreen’s NYC locations are dishing out special wastED™ salads using ingredients that would otherwise be thrown out as waste. The components? Bits and pieces of traditional veggies that usually get discarded: broccoli leaves, kale stems, cabbage cores, etc. seasoned with parmesan, spicy sunflower seeds, and a yummy pesto vinaigrette. Thank you for reminding us to think about possibilities such as this delicious concoction before we chuck the next broccoli stalk! Blue Hill’s wastED™ salad costs $8.60 and a portion of the proceeds is donated to City Harvest.
We won't judge that it's not happy hour, so go #getwastED.
