American Heart Association Young Professionals Raise A Glass

    Last Thursday, The American Heart Association Young Professionals gathered at 1Oak to to celebrate American Heart Month, with proceeds going to the AHA. Event co-chairs Faye Rogaski and Michelle Javian welcomed the many guests, who raised their glasses to to raise awareness for heart disease and stroke (healthy red, of course, provided by WineChateau.com).

    Faye, who is also President of the AHA YP, stopped the crowd with a powerful speech, introducing fellow AHA YP members and survivors Dina Pagnotta, Robin Levy, Jennifer Costantino and Jessica Melore explaining,

    Heart Disease and stroke don’t just afflict the elderly. The good news is that these diseases can largely be prevented. We are working tirelessly to raise awareness and empower fellow young people with the knowledge and tools to take action and reduce risk for heart disease and stroke.

    Please choose to be active, choose to eat healthy and choose know the warning signs.
