Books in Motion, a project consisting of a 6-week traveling theatre festival, is bringing books alive for children. The project, a part of the 2009 UNESCO World Capital Book Festival, will perform outdoors across Lebanon and involves several of America, Europe and the Middle East's leading theatre related artists. It's all made possible through a grant from the Theatre Communications Group and with support of the NYC Children's Theatre Company and La Maison du Livre.

Last night a cocktail event was held at a majestic private terrace overlooking Central Park at dusk. Guests sipped cocktails sponsored by Right Gin, LIV Vodka and Depaz Rhum and tasted Mediterranean mezze from NYC's latest Lebanese restaurant, Naya Mezze & Grill. A silent auction offered tickets to 'artistic experiences around Manhattan'; Items included tickets to the NYC Opera, Shakespeare in the Park and a night at the Box an Primavera restaurant.

Guests included chairs Denise Maroney, Cristina Civetta and Alexandra Schneider. Some of the other present guests included Deborah Lyons, Mehhan Horstmann, Jordan Galland, Jessica Almon, Nick Raines, Varick O'Dea (who DJed!) and more.
