Today we mourn the loss of a domain name the same way we imagine people a decade or two ago mourned the loss of a folded magazine. Style.com, the cherished fashion site where all our runway dreams were met, is no more. Well, as we know it.
While the website itself is on its way to becoming an e-commerce site, all its past content now lives on the new Vogue Runway. So yes, thank Karl, you can still reference that Dior-by-Raf Fall/Winter look you've been trying to describe to your friend over brunch. However, with Fashion Week just around the corner, new hub and all, the change is still bittersweet. Is there anything left of the good old days for the aspiring fashion editors (/bloggers) of tomorrow to pore over on their laptops? Sigh, there's always Instagram we guess.
