Last week, legendary rapper Ice-T teamed up with Tupperware to host an interactive hip-hop wordshop for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club followed by a celebratory Tupperware Party benefiting the organization. In celebration of Black History Month and inspired by our country’s renewed declaration to “give back,” now more than ever the importance of ‘mentorship through music’ is relevant and impactful.

During the workshop, Ice-T shared his inspiration and motivation for creating music, and discussed his emotional and creative process behind writing raps. Participants at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club performed original raps for Ice-T, and Ice provided his thoughts and feedback to help the young song-writers tap into their emotions and hone in on their writing skills. It was truly a touching afternoon. My 9 News joined us for the afternoon to cover the event, as well as local newspaper, The Bronx Times.
Immediately following Ice-T’s Hip-Hop Workshop at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, Ice hosted a private VIP Tupperware Party benefitting the Boys & Girls Club at Room Service in New York.
