Literacy Partners Celebrates 25th Anniversary With "A Gala Evening of Readings"

All Photos by Patrick McMullan for PMc] Monday night at the David Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, Literacy Partners held its 25th Anniversary bash.  The event, "A Gala Evening of Readings," was chaired by Liz Smith, Arnold Scaasi and Parker Ladd and honored Barbara Goldsmith, Nina Rennert Davidson, and Mitchell DavidsonThe highly anticipated black tie affair is always an important fundraiser for this great organization, which makes free adult and family literacy programs possible, and this year was no exception.  The star studded gala was an a great success and exceeded its goals by raising more than $1.2 million to fight adult illiteracy.

    Attendees this year included leaders of fashion, design, media and society in New York, including Martha Stewart, Leslie Stahl, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Ira and Ingeborg Rennert, Mary Higgins Clark, Julia Koch, Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss, Rory Tahari, Mica Ertegun, Peggy Siegal, Tommy Tune, Jane Friedman, Cornelia Guest, and many, many more.  Check out more photos below..
