So it"s fall, kind of. One minute it"s so cold you consider pulling your thermal underwear out of storage and the next day you rejoice in wearing your cute open-toed sandals with shorts. With all this strange, wish washy weather, you really only want to spend money on "seasonless" clothes. Head over to 153 Ludlow Street between Stanton and Rivington. On Friday the pre-opening reception for Lois Eastlund"s new boutique was hosted by Tia Walker and we got to see Lois" collection of beautiful, fun and functional clothes. The Lois Eastlund designs are just that - seasonless - and can be worn no matter what the weather.
Story and photos below:
For the girls it is so easy to wear one of her cotton painted (by herself!) dresses with flip-flops or pull the whole boots and tights look. Lois started off doing menswear and there is a small collection for men at the store. It has colorful creative shirts and great pants for them. This designer is all about wash and wear so most of her collection is made with cotton. Lois is very hands on with all her work, her beautiful knits are handmade and she even has a collection of vintage clothes that she picks out to sell in her store. The accessories in the store are all from her friend"s collections ranging from belts made by some of her models and jewelry made by Edge Soho designers. The store is comfortable and decked out with red (her favorite color) trimmings. The store will be officially open this week so be sure to stop by and check it out. Plus there are some awesome purple pieces!!
