Manolo Blahnik's Marching Band Takes Madison Avenue

Manolo Blahnik knows a thing or two about making a statement!

Yesterday, to fête his beautiful new Madison Avenue boutique, the footwear icon treated his Upper East Side neighborhood to a stunning musical show starring Brooklyn United.

The marching band, comprised of young and talented local New Yorkers, kickstarted the party with a performance on the store's third floor terrace. As fashionable passersby stopped to enjoy the lively scene, the band took to the sidewalk in front of 717 Madison Avenue.

Even model Mariah Castro joined in on the fun, trying her hand at the drums!

In true designer style, Manolo Blahnik collaborated with Pratt graduate Xarea Lockhart to create the band's chic ensemble, repping the brand’s signature colors, white and grey. To complete their looks, the band put their best foot forward, marching in an array of Manolo's most stylish shoes.
